How to apply
Use this form to apply for the Certificate of Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry.
What you need to do
Collect details of your qualifications and experience
- medical degree
- medical registration
- membership of a specialist medical college
- patient opportunity
- previous experience
- provision of care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander populations (if any)
Get a signed letter from your employer
Organise a letter from your employer certifying that they are supportive of you completing the Certificate and confirming that a RANZCP Certificate Supervisor is available to observe consultations for learning and assessment purposes.

- Documents will be accepted for upload in the following file formats - pdf, jpeg, png, docx.
- Only documents in English will be accepted.
Complete the online form
There is a two-step process where you will initially create a RANZCP account, then log in to complete the online form.
Pay the application fee
Pay the $250 application fee, (VISA or Mastercard accepted). Please note this fee is not refundable, whether you are accepted or not.
For the inaugural year of the program, places will be limited. Should prioritisation into the program be required, prioritisation into the program will be based on the Certificate prioritisation guideline.
Get started
Your application will be reviewed by the Certificate for Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry Committee.
You will receive notification by email of the outcome of your application.
