2025 RANZCP President-Elect election - Nominations are closed
Nominations for the 2025 RANZCP President-Elect election closed on Tuesday 17 December 2024 at 5 pm AEDT.
The RANZCP Board
The Board is the governing body of the RANZCP and comprises the President, the President-Elect, five Elected Directors (all elected from among the RANZCP’s Fellows), and an Appointed Director, Trainee.
The Board is responsible for all matters relating to the strategic direction, policies, practices, and the operations of the RANZCP.

The President-Elect position
The President-Elect position term is for 2 years and will commence from the conclusion of the RANZCP’s AGM in 2025. The President-Elect will assume the President position in 2027 at the conclusion of the President’s term.
Eligibility
Fellows with a minimum of 5 years’ Fellowship with the RANZCP.
Fellows who meet the basic requirements for a director of a company, incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001.
Board Director experience on a Board regulated under the Corporations Act, ACNC or ASIC in Australia and their equivalent in New Zealand, or a demonstrated understanding of the duties and responsibilities of boards and directors.

Election campaigning
Campaigning may only commence after the RANZCP has formally published the list of election candidates. The campaign methods permitted are outlined in the Board Election Campaign Activities Policy and further guidance will be provided to candidates.
Key election dates
Nominations for the President Elect position open: 19 November 2024
Nominations for the President Elect position close: 17 December 2024 at 5 pm AEDT
Voting opens: 23 February 2025
Voting closes: 25 March 2025
Results declared: by 2 April 2025
The President-Elect will assume office at the conclusion of the AGM: 7 May 2025.
