Creating a website shortcut on your mobile device
You can add a shortcut to any page on the RANZCP website to your smartphone or tablet home screen, so that it can be accessed like an app.
iPhone or iPad
Using Safari browser only, navigate to the webpage you want to create a shortcut to. For logged in systems like MyCPD, you will need to log in first.
Tap the ‘Share’ button on the bottom of the screen.
A list of options will appear. Keep scrolling until you see ‘Add to Home Screen’.
Optionally you can customise the name for your shortcut or use the one provided. An icon from the webpage will become the ‘app’ icon on your home screen.
Tap ‘Add’. The browser will close, and you will be taken to your home screen where the shortcut has been added.
You can delete or move the shortcut just like any other app on your device.
Android smartphones and tablets
Using Chrome browser, navigate to the webpage you want to create a shortcut to. For logged in systems like MyCPD, you will need to log in first.
Tap the settings menu in the top right corner (looks like three vertical dots).
Depending how the page or system is configured, you will see an item in the list Add to Home screen (most RANZCP web pages) or Install app (MyCPD)
You will be prompted to either add or install. An icon from the webpage will become the ‘app’ icon on your home screen. Tap to continue.
Your browser will close, and you will be taken to your home screen where the shortcut or app will be added.
You can delete or move the app or shortcut just like any other app on your device.
