2025 Director, Casual Vacancy
The RANZCP welcomes nominations from the Fellowship for a Director (Casual Vacancy) on the Board.
Associate Professor Melanie Turner has decided to step down from her role as Board Director, effective 31 December 2024.
A casual vacancy opportunity has therefore arisen on the College’s Board for a Director. The call for nominations is now open.
The position will be appointed by the Board in accordance with the RANZCP Constitution and approved Procedure. The portfolio allocated to the Director (Casual Vacancy) will be a decision of the President, following discussions with the Board Directors.
The term for this position will be 16 months, from 7 February 2025 until the conclusion of the 2026 RANZCP Annual General Meeting. The Fellow appointed to this position shall be eligible for re-election in accordance with the RANZCP Constitution.
Nominations are to be submitted via the Nomination Form by 5.00 pm AEDT on Tuesday 28 January 2025. Nominations submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.

Who can apply
Any Fellow of the RANZCP can apply.
Fellows must meet the basic requirements for a director of a company, incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001, and have experience on a Board regulated under the Corporations Act, ACNC or ASIC in Australia or their equivalent in Aotearoa New Zealand, or a demonstrated understanding of the duties and responsibilities of boards and directors.

Details regarding eligibility and the receipt and processing of nominations can be found in the Board Election Regulations.
Nominations must be supplied on the official Nomination Form and submitted to the RANZCP with the following supporting material:
A short CV – two pages (Arial 11pt, in Word or PDF format).
A 1200-word maximum supporting statement (Arial 11pt, in Word or PDF format), outlining:
your relevant skills and experience for the role
your suitability for the position
the values that you can add to the Board
any other relevant information in support of your candidacy.
A passport style photo (high resolution .jpg file).
A disclosure statement of financial interests and conflict of interests which may conflict or be perceived to conflict, with their potential role as a Director of the College.
For privacy reasons, the submitted CV and supporting statement must not include the candidates date of birth and personal/referee details.
