RANZCP Fellows recognised in Australia Day 2025 Honours List

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists is delighted that three College Fellows were recognised in the Australia Day 2025 Honours List.
The following Fellows have received Australia Day 2025 Honours:

Dr Kym Jenkins AM
Appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in the General Division (AM) named in the Covid-19 Honour Roll.
Dr Kym Jenkins AM is a dedicated psychiatrist with a deep passion for doctors' health, asylum seeker and refugee mental health, and medical/psychiatric education. With extensive leadership experience, Kym serves as Board Chair of Hand-n-Hand Peer Support and Chair of the Migrant and Refugee Mental Health Partnership.
Currently, Kym holds several key roles at the College, including Assistant Director of Training (South W WA), member of the Psychiatry Interest Forum (PIF) Advisory Group and Asylum Seeker and Refugee Mental Health Network, and assessor for the Psychotherapy Written Case.
As past President of the College, Kym has also led the Council of Presidents of Medical Colleges (CPMC) as Chair (2019–21), uniting all medical colleges in their response to COVID-19.
Recognised for significant contributions to the medical profession, Kym has been named to the COVID-19 Honour Roll, received a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), and been honored with the AMA Women in Medical Leadership Award (2022) and RANZCP College of Citation (2024).
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kym played a crucial role in supporting medical professionals by rebuilding the Victorian Doctors Health Program and co-founding Hand-n-Hand, a national peer support service for healthcare workers.

Professor Julian Trollor AM
Professor Julian Norman Trollor AM (NSW) appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to people with disability, particularly as a clinician and academic.
Julian is a Scientia Professor, NHMRC Leadership Fellow, Director of the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health at UNSW Sydney. He previously held UNSW’s inaugural Chair of Intellectual Disability Mental Health (UNSW Sydney) and was head Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry (3DN).
Julian and the Centre work to improve health policy, practice and supports for people with an intellectual or developmental disability. They lead educational resource development, health promotion, consultancy, advocacy and contributions to policy and legislation. The team also conducts translational research of benefit to people with disability and the health sector.
