Meet Dr Joshua Flavell, psychiatry registrar at the Prince Charles Hospital in Queensland, and Deputy Chair of the RANZCP Bi-national Committee for Trainees (BCT).
Joshua is undertaking advanced training in psychiatry of old age and has an interest in mental health issues that occur later in life. He was inspired and motivated by colleagues to advocate for trainee well-being and decided to get involved with the BCT. His two main priorities are to advocate for trainee well-being and a fit-for-purpose training program.
Joshua is interested in research and often works on his PhD during weekends. He’s also passionate about exercise and fitness, and regularly participates in charity running, swimming, hiking and all forms of exercise.
