Assessment: Formulation with focus on maintaining factors. Circular questioning to move from opinions to facts.

Intervention: Approaches to improve communication between couples. Encourage high rates of exchange of positive behaviour exchanges, and training in effective communication skills. Increasing interactions which increase respect, and affection. Enhancing use of behaviours towards a positive sentiment override.
