Update
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists would like to express its sadness on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The Queen was a beloved figure around the world, and had a strong personal bond with both Australia and New Zealand which developed over many decades.
We acknowledge her exceptional dedication and commitment to public life, and her support of many organisations throughout the world including in Australia and New Zealand.
We also extend our sympathies and support to the people of the United Kingdom during their period of national mourning.
The passing of such an international figure can give us need to pause and reflect on our own losses, and help is available.
