We are excited to be hosting this year's Retreat in Naarm (Melbourne), on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong/Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation. It will be held at the RANZCP Head office from Wednesday 26 to Thursday 27 March 2025.

This is the third year running the two-day enrichment activity that is designed specifically for PIF members who are curious about a career in psychiatry and want to take their knowledge about the specialisation to the next level.

The PIF Retreat will be a fantastic opportunity to meet and engage with a range of local trainees and psychiatrists, and to immerse yourself in a wide variety of activities such as offsite visits, as well as have a chance to meet and network with like-minded PIF scholars from around Australia.

About the scholarship

Twenty (20) scholarships will be made available to Australian-based PIF members who are medical students or junior doctors (PGY 1 and PGY 2 only). Reserve scholarship places are on offer for new and existing PIF members who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

* Previous PIF Retreat recipients are ineligible to apply.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Financial support to cover travel expenses for air or road travel and accommodation for eligible applicants

  • Participation in the full 2025 PIF Retreat program

  • Invitation to participate in PIF welcome dinner Tuesday 25 March (optional)
