Professor Rajan Darjee

Raj has worked in forensic psychiatry for over 25 years. He initially trained and worked in Scotland before moving to Australia in 2018. Having worked in the statewide forensic mental health services in Victoria and Tasmania he now works in private forensic practice as the Clinical Director for Psychiatry at Forensic Behavioural Assessment and Consultation Services (FBACS).

He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science, Swinburne University of Technology, where he researches sexual offending and sexual homicide. He has authored over 90 publications, works as an expert witness in criminal cases across Australia, and is often invited to present and give workshops on sexual offending, paraphilic disorders, psychopathy, personality disorders, risk assessment and criminal responsibility.

He is co-editor of the Routledge International Handbook of Sexual Homicide Studies and co-author of the Risk for Sexual Violence Protocol Version-2 (RSVP-V2).
