Dr Justine Hoey-Thompson
Dr Hoey-Thompson a Fellow of the RANZCP works as a general adult psychiatrist and has a Master in Bioethics. She lives in Lennox Head Northern NSW, having been there for over 20 years. She worked at Lismore Base Hospital, was Clinical Director of Tuckeroo, a subacute mental health unit in Byron Bay and currently works in medicolegal work. Dr Hoey-Thompson developed an interest in complex trauma and dissociation and trained in EMDR, Radical Exposure Tapping, Schema Therapy, Structural Dissociation and Internal Family Systems Therapy. She became interested in MDMA assisted therapy for PTSD, when she heard of its potential use for treating people without retraumatising them, and potentially reducing the length of therapy.
