The RANZCP Code of ethics guides ethical behaviour in the practice of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand.
The updated Code incorporates a number of changes to make it relevant to contemporary psychiatric practice.
The Code applies to all members of the RANZCP. The Code also applies to individuals on the pathway to Fellowship of the RANZCP, to non-members holding a position within the RANZCP, to accredited supervisors, and to individuals accessing RANZCP programs such as the continuing professional development (CPD) program. It is also recommended for those who practise psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand independently of the RANZCP.
