Pharmac have advised of shortages of the following medicines in New Zealand:
- Olanzapine depot injections: Supply issue (updated 15 December 2023)
- Prochlorperazine (Nausafix): Supply Issue (updated 27 November 2023)
- Clomipramine 25 mg tablets: Supply issue (updated 16 November 2023)
- Methylphenidate ER tablets: Supply issue (updated 22 December 2023)
- Imipramine (Tofranil) tablets 25 mg: Supply issue (updated 8 December 2023)
- Naltrexone hydrochloride 50 mg: Supply issue (updated 22 November 2023)
- Prazosin (1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg): Supply issue (updated 14 December 2023)
- Prazosin (1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg): Supply issue (updated 14 December 2023)
The College has also been advised of shortages in Australia of the following medicines:
- Olanzapine (as pamoate monohydrate) 210mg powder for injection vial with diluent vial: Medicine shortage (5 October 2023 to 15 April 2024)
- Olanzapine (as pamoate monohydrate) 300mg powder for injection vial with diluent vial: Medicine shortage (5 October 2023 to 15 April 2024)
- Olanzapine (as pamoate monohydrate) 405mg powder for injection vial with diluent vial: Medicine shortage (5 October 2023 to 15 April 2024)
- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesilate) 30mg (7 August 2023 - 7 March 2024)
- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesilate) 50mg (3 November 2023 – 7 March 2024)
- Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesilate) 60mg (18 December 2023 – 19 April 2024)
